Prof. Andrew Kakabadse
He is currently embarked on a major million global study of boardroom effectiveness and governance practice, with the participation of a number of governments including British Ministers of State. His top team database covers 43 nations and many thousands of private and public-sector organizations. He holds a number of international Visiting Professorships and Fellowships and has published 45 books, over 230 articles and 18 monographs. Andrew has been made one of ten lifelong members of Thinkers50, the listing of the world’s top 50 business and policy thinkers.
She graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies, Faculty of International Business & Trade, with a Master Degree in Economics. She graduated also the program of Executive Master of Business Administration-from The Institute for Business Administration in Bucharest/ Kennesaw State University, Atlanta. Adriana is a:

Currently, Bogdan serves as Member of the Board of Smithfield Romania companies. He is also, Vice President of APCPR since 2008 (The Association of Hog Farmers/Pork Meat Producers from Romania), Member of the Board of ARC (The Romanian Meat Association) since 2010, Member in the Board of OICP/OIPA since 2012 and other NGO’s.
From November 2010 to September 2017 Bogdan was the President and CEO of Smithfield Romania, a Group of companies with more than 2,000 employees and 500+ Million Euro anual turnover, which includes distinct operational entities responsible for as many different complementary sectors, in the pork meat production industry starting with hog farming / feed mill production (Smithfield Farms), hog sloughtering / fresh pork meat production and processing (Smithfield Prod), and ending up with wharehousing, logistics, marketing & distribution for fresh and packaged food products (Agroalim Distribution, Agroalim Logistics, Frigorifer). He served as CEO and Chairman for all the companies mentioned above besides his involvement in the leadership of other industry professional associations.
Bogdan has extensive experience in the consumer goods industry and agribusiness with substantial functional track record in general management, operations, business strategy and business development, NPD, PR and CSR projects, marketing and distribution, Government relations and corporate governace best practices.
Bogdan Mihail joined Smithfield Romania in 2007 as CEO of Smithfield Ferme. Previsosly he served as Vice President and CEO of Prodal Group.
He is a graduate of ‘Carol Davila’ University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania.
During 1999-2001, he took an Executive MBA at ASEBUSS & Washington University of Seattle, followed in 2002 by Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School (HBS) USA. In 2006 he graduated the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD France.
Bogdan is a member of IoD (Institute of Directors) UK since 2010 and Fellow since 2014.
He is a certified International Director (INSEAD IDP’c) since 2015 and was the coresponding member of EcoDa (the European Confederation of Directors Associations) for Romania (2016-2018).
Starting with 2018 Bogdan is a member of AAI (Independent Directors Association from RO) which is affiliated to EcoDa since 2018.
Carmen holds a Master’s degree in Power Engineering from “Politehnica” University Bucharest (graduated in 1992) and a Master in Business Administration degree from the Academy of Economic Studies Bucharest joint programme with University of Washington, Seattle, US, graduated in 1997 (ASEBUSS – The Institute for Business Administration in Bucharest, Romania).
She is an alumna of the “Global CEO Programme” (2012) from IESE Business School joint programme with Wharton, University of Pennsylvania, and graduated the “Executive Development Program” from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in 2006. Carmen holds a certification in Hogan psychological evaluation and is a member of The “Independent Directors’ Association” (AAI).

George Toma Mucibabici
Between 2001-2006, he was Deputy Chairman and CEO then Chairman and CEO of Unicredit Tiriac Bank.
During his tenure in the National Bank of Romania (1990-1999) he held key positions such as Advisor to the Governor, Director and General Director.
Between 1994 and 1996 he worked at the International Monetary Fund, Washington D.C. as Senior Advisor to the Executive Director and Member of the Executive Board. While in DC he also served as an Alternate Director in the Investment Committee of the World Bank/IMF Staff Retirement Plan.
He was a founding member, then Secretary General and President of ACI Romania – Financial Markets Association (FMA) between 1994 and 2000. In 2001 he was elected as Regional Executive for CEE in the Global Executive Committee of ACI – FMA.
Between 2001 and 2004 he was a Board (Founding) Member of the Romanian Credit Bureau.
During 2006 – 2009 he was a Member of the Board of the British-Romanian Chamber of Commerce.
Since 2006 he serves as Member and Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the American International School in Bucharest.
Since 2018 he is also the Chairman of the Deloitte Romania Foundation.
Between 1997 and 2000 he was a Guest Teacher at the Academy for Economic Studies, International Relations Faculty teaching issues related to Central Bank’s policies in the Financial Markets.
In Deloitte he also leads for several years the Next Generation Program tailored from the Deloitte Global Program, a successful program for next generation financial leaders reaching this year its 7th edition in Romania.
George holds a BSC in Finance & Accounting from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and various certifications from International Financial Institutions.
Nicolae has a Master Degree in Engineering from Polytechnic University and a Degree in National Defense at the University “Carol I”: National Defense College. He is certified in Foreign policy and Diplomacy with the Romanian Institute of Diplomacy.
Simona currently holds two nonexecutive board functions, one in a majority state-owned company acting in the mining and food sector and, in a privately-owned listed company acting in the commercial real estate business. The other business segments she is specialized in refer to energy sector (productions and distribution) and financial markets (commercial and investment banking).
Her area of expertise includes corporate governance, corporate finance and internal audit as well as business strategy and business development.
Simona graduated the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and built her expertise while pursuing an investment banking carrier, being involved in the foundation of Romanian capital market in the 90’s, from regulator’s position, consultant and equity specialized investment banker. Her professional maturity was in the commercial banking sector, built in a fast development and growth period in the years 2000 – 2008 followed by a deep restructuring amid 2009-2011. She held managerial positions from 2000 and, since 2006 she has been in directorship functions.
At present, Simona considers herself in the consolidation phase, aspiring to use her knowledge and experience for increasing companies’ sustainable growth as well as for enhancing the good corporate governance standards reason why Simona is also involved in various educational projects and volunteering engagements.
Dan graduated the Faculty of History and Philosophy of the University of Bucharest and he holds a post-graduate diploma (Diplôme d’Études Approfondies) of the École de Hautes Études and Sciences Sociales in Paris. Dan is the author of numerous scientific and editorial articles, and he was decorated by the President of Romania for services provided with the National Order “Faithful Service” in the rank of Grand Officer and holds other orders given by several countries.
Prof. Nada Korac Kakabadse
She is elected Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and their representative in the UK and Brussels. She has also contributed over 90 chapters to international volumes and has published over 190 scholarly articles. She has co-authored 23 books.
Nada has worked for international organizations in Scandinavia, the Middle East and North Africa as well as the Canadian and Australian Federal Governments. Her clients have included Alliance & Leicester, Citigroup, Microsoft, Motorola, Vodafone Australia, GSK, Severstal and in the public sector a number of UK and Australian government departments.
Previously, she held the position of Professor in Management and Business Research at the University.
Prof. Tudor Prisecaru
Another outstanding aspect of his career, he was appointed Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Education, between 2013-2015. He participated in the elaboration of more than 40 research development and innovation projects. He has authored 10 books and 90 articles in technical magazines, and participated to 120 national and international conferences. Member of professional associations: IRE, STTR, Romanian Society of Thermotechnicians, ACEIR, he is Doctor in Engineering sciences from 1991.

He is the founder of Fundatia Inovatii Sociale Regina Maria, as well as other well-known medical business like Intermedicas, Medic Hub. 2017 he invested in Docbook and Medijobs. He started the constructions of the biggest medical city dedicated to the elderly, Revera Medical City, a 50 millions euro investment located in Bucharest.
