Envisia-Boards of Elite invites you to its 4th event tackling Board of Directors’ contemporary topics: ENVISIA’s Round Table: The Future of Boards: “How capable are Boards of enhancing enterprise value creation through their effective governance of the human/AI-system interfaces?” We will debate with prestigious international panelists about the Role and the Nature of the Future Boards and about the Future of Governance.
Our Keynote Speaker, Prof. Andrew Kakabadse, Chairman of Envisia – Boards of Elite and Chair of Directors’ Forum Henley Business School, will be emphasizing the importance of the professionalization of the role of the board director in connection with the First Postgraduate Qualification Programme for practicing board members, with academic accreditation recognized within the European Union, specially tailored for Non-Executive Board Members and is brought by ENVISIA in partnership with the prestigious triple-accredited Henley Business School.

- a) How prepared is the Board to govern the critical interfaces/fracture points that arise from new organisational forms (e.g. platform based; automated contracts; venture portfolio)?

Nada Kakabadse: Professor of Policy, governance and ethics at Henley Business School, University of Reading: Nada is elected Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and is their representative in the UK and Brussels. She has also contributed over 96 chapters to international volumes and has published over 200 scholarly articles. She has co-authored 23 books. Nada has worked for international organisations in Scandinavia; Middle East and North Africa as well as Australian and Canadian governments. Oonagh Harpur: Independent Non-Executive Director KPMG UK, previous roles include: member of Walgreens Boots Alliance Advisory Panel on Sustainability; Non-Executive Director of the Government Legal Department; Chair of the Wisdom of Crowds Ltd. Oonagh is also Senior Advisor to Tomorrow’s Company and Blueprint for Better Business and for a number of financial and professional services firm Boards. Giles Vardey: Currently Chairman of Sportech PLC. Giles was board director of the London Stock Exchange for 5 years, where he built and launched the electronic trading system called SETS. He also created the AIM market for smaller companies. His 36-year career includes 10 years in securities sales and trading at Salomon Brothers, NatWest and Swiss Bank Corporation. He was CEO of two major private client stockbroking and wealth management businesses: Fidelity Brokerage and Greig Middleton & Co Ltd. Since then Giles has chaired several public and private companies, as well as advising and mentoring many senior executives and groups.
