Lucian has a PhD in economics-cybernetics and is an Associate Professor at the Management Faculty- National School for Political and Administrative Studies. He has been working for more than 25 years in the financial, banking and capital markets.

He served during his career as the Chairman of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, the CEO of a private pension fund, the CEO of two banks, the Chief Economist, Head of the Group Strategy and the Deputy Treasurer of a bank, together with EBRD & IFC he was in charge of the structuring of the biggest bank in Romania in order to be privatized.

Lucian was a board member of two Asset Management companies and an external expert for the World Bank and Foreign Investors Council (FIC). He is serving as an independent board member for two companies listed on the main market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange - Bittnet Group and Teraplast. He was the founder of the Romanian Financial-Banking Analyst Association (AAFBR) and served as the first Chairman. He has published several books and scientific articles.
